Job Description

Electrician | Most work is carried out in Ayrshire and Glasgow | Monday through Friday 8am4.30pm | Salary starting at £15.00 per hourFortress Security is an independent security company that installs and maintains electronic security systems throughout West Central Scotland. Starting in 1997 with just a staff of three we have grown and developed into a leading security solutions providerwith a dedicated team of over 60 employees and apprentices.We are looking to recruit someone who is fully qualified to 18th Edition standards, has testing and inspection credentials and can demonstrate a proven track record for quality workmanship throughout their career.The majority of our work is based in Ayrshire and Glasgow and our offices and stores are based in Kilmarnock. Please consider your proximity to both our offices and where the work is likely to be prior to making your application. Applicants outside a 20 25 mile radius of Kilmarnock are unlikely to be considered.We have sufficient work on our books such that we can offer almost limitless overtime for those who wish to take advantage of time and a half out of hours on a Saturday and double time on a Sunday. Overtime is purely voluntary and there is no obligationto work regular overtime if you do not wish to do so.Are you the right person for usTo be considered for this position you must have the following:

  • C&G 2382-22: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • C&G 2391-52: Inspection and Testing (or equivalent Select)
  • Full Clean UK Driving License
  • Valid ECS card
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive can do, will do attitude
What will your role as an Electrician look like
  • Our work ranges from public sector and small commercial installation work, domestic and a small amount of commercial EICR, external lighting projects and new build wiring
  • There is an on-call element to the role in order to cover emergency response calls out of hours

Experience with this software is preferred but not essential as all candidateswill receive a full contract brief and appropriate training

  • A pay review will be completed upon successful completion of probationary period
