  • Design Manager position dealing with a range of timber frame and roof truss projects for main contractors and house builders
  • Produce and manage design programmes in line with client requirements
  • Managing the design and estimating team
  • Work closely with the estimating team to contribute technical knowledge and value engineering at tender stage
  • Liaise with Production Manager to ensure all manufacturing information is correct and in line with requirements
  • Manage and develop a team of 4 Designers, setting targets and reporting on progress
  • Build and develop client relationships throughout projects
  • Liaise with client design teams and external consultants in relation to live projects
  • Liaise with site team to resolve queries
The ideal applicant will be a Design Manager - Timber Frames industry with:
  • Must have design experience within the construction industry
  • Ideally experience with timber frame / timber structures / timber construction / modular building
  • Must be a proficient user of AutoCAD
  • Ideally will have team leader / management / supervisor experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
