This whole/part time post offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and committed team player to help develop a holistic, multidisciplinary service for stroke / geriatric patients in Ayrshire. Based in University Hospital Crosshouse, you shall support Ayrshire & Arran wide geriatric / stroke services with option of contributing to Thrombolysis rota.Working alongside, Consultant Stroke Physicians / Geriatricians and 1 Associate Specialist you will be responsible for inpatient care, including assessment and rehabilitation. You may wish to participate in the 1:10 joint Stroke Thrombolysis rota (with Lanarkshire) for Ayrshire & Arran stroke patients supported by telemedicine.The terms and conditions of service are those determined by the New Consultant Contract (Scotland) 2004 and is offered on a 10 Programmed Activity basis. Applications from individuals who may wish to work on a part-time or job share basis will be considered. Opportunities may exist for Extra Programmed Activities to be undertaken subject to service requirements and in accordance with national terms and conditions of service.The appointment is for a whole-time / part-time Consultant Physician with accreditation in General, Geriatric and Stroke Medicine. You will have the necessary training and expertise to provide a complete range of medical and rehabilitative services for stroke patients in Ayrshire.
