Automatic Door Security Engineer| Kilmarnock | 40 hrs per week Monday through Friday | +£31,000 per annum not including overtime or on-call bonusesFortress Security Solutions was formed in Kilmarnock in 1997 with over 60 employees.   • A competitive salary, time and half for overtime, and double time for Sunday
  • You will be provided with a Company vehicle and a PDA in order to electronically communicate job details
  • The engineer schedule is done for you by our office staff so no routing by the security engineer is required
  • Overtime is mostly voluntary and due to the volume of work available is virtually limitless
  • OT is paid at time and half Mon-Sat and double time on Sunday.
Are you the right person for the jobIf you have/are the following, then the answer is yes!
  • You must have automatic door or door entry system/access control experience to be considered for this role
  • Applicants must have relevant experience and qualifications including ADSA certification
  • Extensive experience with Record door operators, GDX or Entrotech door entry systems
  • Valid Ipaf (3a & 3b) is preferred and a full clean driving license is essential
What will your role as an Automatic Door Security Engineer look like
  • You will be responsible for completing the day-to-day delivery of Automatic door, Door Entry, and Access Control installation commissioning and maintenance services within the business
  • The installation and commissioning engineer will involve undertaking Automatic Door, Door Entry and Access Control planned installations, commissioning and maintenance works for Domestic, Commercial, and Public Sector clients
  • Installation, commissioning and maintenance engineers should have the experience, ideally within the public and private sector environment
On-CallPlease note, that you will be required to undertake reasonable overtime. Some (but not all) Engineers are expected to participate in our on-call scheme. Typical Engineer on-call rotation is 1 week out of every 12 or 13 weeks.The On-Call Engineer will NOT be expected to work during the day when on-call and will receive a £200 participation fee in addition to the standard 40 hours paid for on-call duty regardless of how few callouts are attended.Should the hours exceed 40 during the course of the week, there is of course a bonus rate of pay available to compensate. In addition, there is a "buddy" system in place whereby the security engineer on-call is guaranteed 1 full day off at the weekend duringtheir rotation.Fortress as an employer strives to achieve equality & diversity among its staff which reflects the communities it serves.
