An opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join an established food distribution company. In this fast paced role no two days are the same. Their ultimate goal is to keep the customer at the heart of everything they do and to do this you need to be excellentat building strong relationships with customers by really understanding their needs and looking for solutions to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.They are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their Scotland team, covering Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and parts of Glasgow. As part of this team you will be responsible for delivering sustainable sales and profit growth in line with agreed targets.You will be responsible for developing sales opportunities with existing accounts by analysing territory sales data, minimising order losses and creating and maintaining a prospect database. In addition you will develop profitable new business through activecanvass calling and ongoing account creation.Your performance will be in line with agreed company KPIs including customer call rate, business growth and retention. Collaborative work is essential utilising the expertise of Category Specialists will ensure there is a co-ordinated approach to growthand activity. In addition, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information and reports in accordance with agreed timeframes via your line manager.You will be able to demonstrate excellent selling skills and a proven track record in regularly exceeded sales targets. Excellent customer relations and a flexible approach are essential. You will have a full driving licence and reside within or in closeproximity to the territory.The successful Area Sales Manager will be rewarded with a basic salary between £32 - £35,000, car allowance of £6,250 and an OTE of £12,000, contributory pension, 25 days holiday plus many more company benefits.
