We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Operations Officer to part of our HR Operations Service for a fixed period to support our Employee Lifecycle workstream.The postholder will act as first point of contact for all HR Operations queries, providing advice and guidance to managers and staff across the Council, supporting all employees and workers during the lifecycle of their employment including issuing of contractdocumentation for new starters and changes in conditions of employment and processing and reconciliation of all payroll variations, starters and leavers prior to our timetabled payroll runs.QUALIFICATIONS:Educated to A level standard or equivalent with a commitment to gaining a formal Level 3 HR/Payroll qualification via an apprenticeship or other qualification route)CIPD/CIPP Level 3 Foundation Certificate in HR or Payroll practice (or working toward or equivalent)PERSONAL QUALITIESStrong team player who with a collaborative work styleThe ability to be proactive, think creatively and identify development opportunities and continuing ways of improvementStrong communication and influencing skillsAbility to cope with conflicting demands and deadlinesAbility to assimilate new information quicklyUnderstand our Values and behave in a way that is consistent with them.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEExperience of providing administrative and technical support for a range of HR Operations functions including employee life cycle, recruitment, HR system maintenance and development, financial controls.Experience of advising and providing first resolution of queries on conditions of service, employee lifecycle matters, recruitment and general employment enquiries. Ensuring compliance and consistency across the organisation.Knowledge/experience of contributing to project work.Knowledge of Agresso and purchase order requirements
