As our Certification Officer youll be the go to technical expert for certification, working closely with our operations and marketing teams and our partner packers youll foster a culture of certification excellence.Day to day youll ensure the compliance to our certification standards throughout our supply chain, manage stakeholders and maintain our certification management system. Youll assess artwork and packaging ensuring that it complies with standards, resolve certification queries and questions, and keep up-to-date with certification developments, distilling what is most important for the Pukka team. Youll also play a key role in communicating Brexit updates with the wider business, how they may impact Pukkas certifications and how we can prepare for 2021. Youll facilitate our annual inspections for all our certifications and work collaboratively with our partner packers to bring in new certification programs and develop new ones. Were growing internationally at a rapid pace, so youll ensure were compliant with regulatory requirements within our new markets for quality and food safety.About youEducated to a BSc, MSc or equivalent, in a relevant field, youll have previous experience of managing a certification scheme, or have regulatory experience in a technical compliance role in food safety. Youll have experience of managing audits and inspections and have played a key role in making these activities happen. Youll be a passionate advocate and knowledgeable of fair and organic standards and have a good understanding of the principles of organic food and labelling. Experience gained in food safety or quality related work is desirable. Youll be someone who aims high and is determined to deliver excellence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to manage internal and external stakeholders. Youll be able to keep a clear head, able to act purposefully and have the resilience to embrace change positively. Youll have the drive and enthusiasm to be part of a fast-paced challenging environment and be unflappable in the face of obstacles, using any situations to wow and exceed expectations. Highly organised, youre able to prioritise effectively and balance priorities, and demonstrate an enthusiastic, positive approach when tasks require a quick step change in delivery.
