Job Description

Care Support WorkerThis post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.PART TIME AND FULL TIME OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE - DAY/NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE *please enquire with hours you are looking for.Please note: We will only take applications from candidates who have the right to live and work within the UKWe are looking for a Support Worker to be based in one of our CRC or Extra Care Services in Keynsham on a Full or Part time basis on permanent contract.We have a variety of hours available and this involves a rota system which includes early (starting at 7.30am) and late shifts (ending at 10.15pm) and working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid.Our Extra Care homes offer a vibrant community atmosphere in Bath and North East Somerset.What is Extra CareExtra Care Housing is for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme. Our Extra care housing services have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.As an Extra Care Support Worker, you will:

  • Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
  • Promote tenants independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care
  • Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants
  • Providing support to access third party and NHS services
  • Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed
  • Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives.
About YouPrevious experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided.
