Job Description

Class 1 / HGV / LGV / C+E DriverStamford based

  • £15.50 per hour PAYE
  • On-going work
  • 05:00 start Monday to Friday
  • Occasional night out @ £25 pay
  • Modern fleet of trucks
  • Tanker work (training provided)
  • 10 – 13 hours per day

    • Working at one of the world’s most recognisable companies, you’ll be driving a modern vehicle pulling a tanker in one of the most prestigious driving jobs on the road. Full training on using the tanker will be given followed by a minimum of 6 weeks work to ensure that you’ve had the opportunity to put all the training into practice until it becomes second nature.You’ll be touring the country from Port Talbot to Dartford Crossing to Stourport to Stamford to Halifax and Newcastle! Your vehicle will be one of a modern fleet of DAF’s with sleeper cabs, just in case you can’t get back to base. There will be nights out, on average once a week, so we are only looking for professional drivers that carry a night out bag at all times to work at this client.This is not an easy job to get! Your first day will involve a strict tacho and highway code test, followed by a driving assessment if you pass. Then it’ll be on to tanker training, this will involve learning the safe systems of work and being signed off on the processes. On day two you’ll get to go out with another experienced driver to show them that you have taken the information on board and can operate the vehicle safely and effectively. Day three you are out on the road as a fully-fledged member of the team.The contract will last until around October depending on weather and there is a possibility you may end with a full time job and earn £42k p.a plus bonuses.To apply click the button or call Greg on
