Job Description

Acknowledged as a Top 100 Accountancy Firm by Accountancy Age, they specialize in tailored audit, accounting, taxation, and business advice across diverse sectors, includingacademy schools, agriculture, landed estates, international, not-for-profit, property and development, and professional services.Role OverviewDeliver exceptional audit, accounting, and associated client services, actively contributing to the holistic growth of the Firm. Enhance personal skills and knowledge by engaging in a structured training program.Responsibilities* Prepare statutory financial statements based on client-supplied information.* Prepare business tax computations, partnership, and personal tax returns, as well as corporation tax computations (forms CT600).* Assist with general client inquiries regarding bookkeeping and other business-related matters as required.* Monitor own performance quality and time costs in line with agreed budgets.* Assist in delivering ad hoc projects and assignments.* Record own chargeable time to maximize recoveries.* Attend relevant courses appropriate to the job role.* Identify points for the Department Manager to raise with clients and potential areas for additional services, including added value services and advice.* Undertake bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier management, and management accounts preparation as needed.* Provide support to trainees through on-the-job coaching and supervision of their work.* Liaise with clients proactively to obtain relevant information for their accounts, ensuring attention to detail and effective questioning.* Assist with administrative tasks if necessary.* Prepare other client deliverables as requested.Key Knowledge and Qualifications* ACA/ACCA fully or part-qualified, or AAT qualified.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Proven verbal and written communication skills.* Experience in preparing accounts and related business tax computations.* Demonstrated willingness to learn and consider the bigger picture.Personal Attributes* Exceptional communication skills.* Rapid builder of rapport and trust.* Highly confidential and trustworthy.* Skilled networker with strong interpersonal capabilities.* Resilient, energetic, and self-motivated.* Organized with a proven track record of achievement.Job Requirements:* Reside within a commutable distance from the office.* Possess a valid UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.* Be available to work outside normal hours as needed.
