Job Description

Job Paths 4 U are looking for Waking Night Care Worker for a residential home based in Kettering rated Good in its most recent inspection.You will work as a Waking Night Care Worker in a 4 - 6 bedded residential home in Kettering, with a spacious garden and well equipped sensory room. This residential home is for young adults aged 14+ with learning disabilities and complex needs.If you want to make a difference, have a calm approach and thrive on working as part of a team then we would like to hear from you.My client is looking for a strong-minded, passionate and confident person to work in their residential home for young adults with Learning Disabilities based in Kettering.Waking Night Care Worker duties and responsibilities include:

  • To remain awake through the night to support the young people
  • To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment for the young residents
  • To comply with company rules, policies and practices of the establishment and to respond to emergencies this may arise within the establishment
  • To provide and maintain high levels of cleanliness
  • To maintain a regular system of recording in connection with each young person, to be involved in the implementation of care plans and to assist in the provisions of reports when required
  • To undertake administrative duties as required e.g. (log books, daily information sheets, accident book, incident book, incident sheets, population returns etc.)
  • Waking Night Care worker requirements are:
  • Residential care experience
  • At least 1 years’ experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours and physical intervention
  • Driving license desirable
  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care desirable
  • Salary: £9.50 per hourShift hours and pattern for waking night:
  • 2130-0800
  • Week one - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Week two - Wednesday and Thursday
