Job Description

Transport PlannerLocation: ThrapstonSalary: £29000.00Hours: Monday to Friday - Standard working hours.The role:

  • Plan up to 150 routes for site, building a resource model to be pass to transport.
  • To plan load schedules making best use of backhauls where possible, using paragon planning systems to maximise profit
  • Maintain all Paragon master routing database
  • Work with the depot teams to ensure the optimised plan is delivered
  • Deliver a plan to reduce the flex budget
  • To ensure customer & clients KPIs are met by planning effectively
  • Ensure supplier collections are all covered
  • Stand in for Senior Planner role when required
Responsibilities
  • Measurement Criteria / KPIs
  • Ensure key KPIs are achieved and reported to customer requirement
  • Requests are completed and communicated
  • Weekend schedules to be thoroughly checked
  • All volume received should be planned without fail
  • Develop strong relationships within the transport team
  • Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Project group involvement with site management/colleagues
  • Understanding of quality standards
  • Update daily KPI spreadsheets
Person Spec
  • Seeking a candidate that demonstrates energy, enthusiasm and commitment
  • 2-3 years experience in a Transport environment
  • Proven track record in planning and forecasting
  • Proven experience of working in customer facing role
  • Knowledge of Working Time Legislation & EU Driving Legislation
  • Intermediate Excel Spreadsheet experience essential - understanding of manipulating data.
  • Paragon experience would be an advantage.
