Job Description

Systems ConsultantKetteringHours - Monday to Friday full timeSalary - £35k-37kOur client, an internationally recognised R&D organisation within the consumerproducts industry supplying an array of products and services to its members and clients thatadd value throughout their supply chains. For over 20 years the Digital Division hassuppliedingenious software applications into manufacturing environments that help users understandand set standards for their process costs. These popular applications provide essentialinformation for business management and enable manufacturers to focuson continuousimprovement activities. Our client has recently invested substantially in the further developmentof these systems moving to a SaaS model.As part of their ongoing expansion and succession plans they are recruiting for a Systems Consultant with a background in manufacturing processes/industrialengineering/continuous improvement who will become an expert in these softwareapplications assistingwith sales, installation, training and ongoing customer support.About The Role...The successful applicant will be expected to carry out the following:

  • Be a manufacturing/production/operations subject matter expert in the use of the companys manufacturing systems software applications when implemented in manufacturing and other industrial facilities around the globe.
  • Manage the installation and onboarding of the companys manufacturing systems forcustomers both remotely and on-site around the globe.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers enabling them to maximise thebenefits of the companysoftware applications within their facilities.
  • Provide day-to-day customer support working closely with the product owner andsoftware team.
  • Assist the sales and marketing teams, carry out demonstrations and work with potentialnew customers helping them to understand the benefits of the companys systems and how they would work in their specific business environments.
  • Testing product improvements and changes prior to release.
About You ...
  • You should be able and willing to travel overseas extensively.
  • Good background experience in manufacturing systems/industrialengineering/continuous improvement/lean, ideally including the adoption and implementation of digital technologies for data management and analyses.
  • Evidence of strong communication skills and ability to train and teach in a technical environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers in different cultures.
  • Manufacturing, engineering or similar technical qualification.
  • Good problem solver.
  • Proactive self-starter.
