Job Description

The Role:We are looking for a Registered Nurse who can demonstrate the delivery of high quality clinical patient care on a bank basis. The successful Registered Nurse will be an excellent communicator and team player, be flexible, motivated and committed to the highest standards of patient care.Key responsibilities include:You’ll get to enjoy working in a close multi-disciplinary team where there is real respect and a drive for high quality, evidence based safe patient care in an innovative modern working environment that has recently been refurbished to an exceptional standard. You will benefit from a varied surgical caseload which includes Orthopaedics, spinal, colorectal, breast, gynaecology, urology, bariatric, general and cosmetic surgery; the care will broaden your skills and experience as well as support and training opportunities.The successful candidate will require:

  • Current Registered Nursing Qualification
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to expand skills and knowledge
  • Experience of looking after surgical patients (or an ability to develop these skills)

An annual appraisal (PDR) is mandatory for us all as is compliance with mandatory training.About usWoodland Hospital in Kettering has 23 en-suite inpatients beds, 12 Day Case Bays, 7 Day Case en-suite beds, 4 laminar flow theatres, 1 Endoscopy Suite (JAG accredited) and Minor Procedure Room. Our diagnostics services include 12 Consulting Rooms with a further 6 Consulting rooms at our offsite Woodland Grange Outpatients (due to open end of December), Covid Swabbing Centre, Physiotherapy Department, Pharmacy Department, Radiology Department – Xray, Ultrasound, Echo, Audiology, MRI and CT Van – 6 days per week. We have embraced the Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERP) and made significant length of stay reductions with improved patient related outcomes measures (PROMS).
