Job Description

As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for the routine preparation and testing of PPE which includes gloves, fall protection, motorcycle garments, high visibility clothing, eye wear, helmets, hearing protection and many more against Britishand European Standards.The main duties of the role will include -

  • Read, learn and understand international standards for testing PPE
  • Booking in testing onto system and providing instructions for testing required to technicians
  • Writing electronic reports and communicating results to customers
  • Answering customer enquiries, technicalquestions, providing quotations and support
The ideal candidate must have GCSEs Maths and English or equivalent to a minimum of grade C or above. Must be highly organised, enthusiastic and able to work independently and as part of a team. You should also be competent with MS Word and Excel. You willbe expected to work towards deadlines, to produce accurate detailed results and be able to work independently and as part of the laboratory team.Must be able to demonstrate testing of different types of consumer products.Good communication skills are also essential, you will be expected to work to deadlines, produce accurate and detailed test reports. Having experience of working within a regulated laboratory environment would also be an advantage.Flexibility, tenacity and a can do attitude are a must.InterestedPlease click apply
