Job Description

Quality Technologist required for a well-established and respected organisation with head offices in the Kettering area. The successful job holder will join the Quality Services Department to support customers based both in the UK and worldwide.Extensive overseas travel will be required for up to three weeks at a time.The role will involve:

  • Calibrating of special purpose test machinery and laboratory equipment at customers sites
  • Auditing of laboratories to company and customers specifications
  • Training laboratory staff in the set-up, use of lab quality systems, test methods and the correct use of equipment
  • Training customers in the performance of test methods
Applications are invited from candidates with the following attributes:
  • Ability to travel extensively in the UK and overseas for up to 3 weeks at a time
  • Full Driving Licence and confidence driving domestically and internationally (USA / Europe)
  • A high level of mechanical dexterity
  • Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English, Maths
  • Previous quality assurance or laboratory experience is desirable
  • Experience of working in a physical testing laboratory environment would be useful
  • Practical and mechanical dexterity
  • Technical understanding
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Highly organised, attentive to detail and possess effective planning skills
  • Good social and communication skills - able to interact with people across all levels of the organisation and across diverse cultures
  • Ability to speak different languages - an advantage

  • Training in all aspects of the role will be provided, where required, including enrolment with a lead auditors qualification which should be completed within 6 months of joining the department
