Your engineering background will be varied. You can design and produce detailed fabricated drawings, take those drawings through production, covering fabrication and welding, but youre also comfortable externally. One of our long standing team members is due to retire and we need you to take over from them and build on their great work. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Engineer - Welding, steel fabrication, gate automation, access control systems You will be working alongside the Operation Manager who is an Engineer too, but they cover a more customer facing and supplier role, and youll work closely with the Fabrication Manager too in our workshop.Your weekly duties/tasks will include: The Design / CAD side will be about 15%-20% of your working week; youll compile detailed drawings and designs based on customer requirements. Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure a smooth process from design to fabrication. Go on site visits to accurately measure and calculate your designs from your surveys. Supporting engineers in the field and our clients with any telephone technical support. Support sufficient raw material levels and procurement where needed alongside the Operations Manager.YOUR BACKGROUND: Production Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Engineer - Welding, steel fabrication, gate automation, access control systems. Your background should include the following: Computer literate (using CAD Software), Microsoft Outlook and Excel. The ability to produce accurate engineered drawings. Take a design through to fabrication. Be able to go to site initially for surveys and measuring up and then oversee installs too. The ability to support the welding and fabrication team because youre a Mechanical Engineer. Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously all at different stages. You will have a mechanical engineering background and have an excellent understanding of fabrication and or welding.It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Engineer, Service Engineer, Installation Engineer- gate automation, FAAC, CAME, BFT, Rogers, SEA, DEA, beninca, gate safety, doors, garage doors, roller doors, bollards, barriers, access controls, electrical, intruder alarms, ditec, comelit, railings, carpark, intercom, balustrades, walkways, platforms,access, stairs, stairwells, fire escapes, fabrication, fabricated, welding.INTERESTED Please click apply.
