Job Title: Contract Network Engineer - ASA FirewallsLocation: Kettering, Site Based and HybridDay Rate: £500 per day - Inside IR35Duration: 6 monthsProject FocusProvide BAU support for the Network Infrastructure. This role will be required to be onsite in Kettering on a regular basis (1 to 2 days a week) and will be predominantly responsible for responding to incidents, investigating problems, and implementing changesrelated to the network across all sites. This role may also be asked to work on network related projects via the PMO should they have any spare capacity although the primary purpose of the role with be BAU support.Role:1. Respond to network related incidents logged via the servicedesk. Ensure tickets are managed appropriately i.e actioned in a timely manner, kept up to date, closed when completed etc.2. Investigate network related problem tickets.3. Manage the onsite network cabling, patching ports, connecting new devices, troubleshooting issues etc.4. Ensure all changes to existing systems follow the change (CAB) process.5. Raise change documentation as required and implement day to day network configuration changes e.g. modifying firewall rules, adding Vlans etc.6. Work with 3rd party vendors as required to troubleshoot issues or make changes.7. Produce technical operation documents and support a formal transition process of new systems or services into operation.8. Provide technical guidance to the wider IT team to help troubleshoot issues and find appropriate resolutions.Key experience required:We are looking for and experienced Network Support Engineer that has experience in Cisco Switches, Routers and ASA Firewalls.We would expect you to be either immediately available or have a notice period of two weeks or less.Interviews will be held remotely.
