Job Description

Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing)Kettering£44,000 - £47,000 + Development + Overtime + BUPA Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + Four Day Week­ + Career ProgressionAre you an electrically biased engineer looking for a new and exciting opportunity to work for a specialist company who will prioritise your personal development, ensuring that you will become the very best in your fieldOn offer is the opportunity to work for one of the UKs leading food producers. Known for using nothing but the best and very latest in automation technology, with carbon neutral sites across the UK, who have achieved this by investing in equipment such asslicers, thermoforms, pickers, CHP, Armor Inox cooker and auto case packing equipment.In this role you will be working within a small team to carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on the factories broad range of manufacturing equipment. You will be using your expertise to fault find, diagnose and repair the machinery to ensure the smooth runningof the factory.This role would be suited to an electrically biased multi skilled engineer looking to leap into a company that can offer brilliant training and progression opportunities.The Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance works on all production process equipment, dispatch equipment, cookers and electrical systems, including electrical cabling and wiring
  • The installation of conduit, wiring and cabling systems.
  • The repair / replacement of power distribution equipment. Lighting installations, Electrical control equipment.
  • The removal and installation of pumps and motors.
  • Train in legionella & ammonia
  • Panama shift pattern (alternating weeks of days and nights)
The Person:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Food manufacturing experience essential
