Job Description

Job Title: Machine Press OperatorLocation: KetteringSalary: £24000, rising to £25.5 after successful probationContract: PermanentHours: Monday to FridayDo you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment Do you have previous experience od working with press machinery Pertemps are recruiting for a Press Operator to join our client’s company, based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Main duties of the role will include:

  • Understanding a job sheet
  • Pick the correct cutter and make sure that it is returned to the correct place at the end of the job.
  • Loading materials onto the press, whilst making sure that the cutter pressure is set to the correct level.
  • Operate press computer to set a number of the product.
  • Watching for faults while running the press and removing faults or anomalies.
  • Carrying out daily maintenance routines as defined in the maintenance schedule.
The ideal candidate will be:
  • Physically fit due to some lifting of equipment.
  • Have a good eye for detail.
  • Previous experience of operating and setting machines.
  • Experience in Flexo Printing would also be an advantage.
