Job Title: Import & Export Specialist Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire Salary: 30,000 - £35,000 (Subject to experience), Incentives Holiday Entitlement, Company Pension & Full Training. Working on behalf of a highly successful, established construction equipment manufacturer, we are looking for an Import/Export Specialist to join the team. Your main responsibility within the role of Import/Export Specialist will be to manage the transportationprocess of goods across different countries. Your role requires you to have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and an in depth understanding of import/export regulations.You will need to co-ordinate with suppliers, customers, carriers, and custom brokers to ensure a smooth supply chain operation. Your duties will include preparing legal documents e.g., Bills of Lading and other shipping documents, negotiating shipping and freightrates and arranging transportation pick-up and delivery. Staying updated on trade regulations, including tariff rates and import/export laws is essential.Key Duties & Responsibilities: Facilitate international shipments of goods from pick-up to delivery Ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing cross-border transportation Provide guidance on documentation and customs requirements Co-ordinate with carriers, freight forwarders and other logistic providers Communicate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery and correct handling of goods Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolution of any issues. Advise on packaging and labelling requirements for international business shipments Research and identify new markets and business opportunities Analyse and report on import/export trends and costsRequirements of the Role: Institute of Export & International Trade, Level 5 Diploma in International Trade Must have good working knowledge of Import and Export documentation.
