Job Description

Job title: Fork Lift DriverShift: 3 shift basis (6.00 am - 2.00 pm / 2.00 pm - 10.00 pm / 10.00 pm - 6.00 am).The roleOur client is looking for a Fork Lift Driver to ensure that all materials used and parts/components produced within the Foundry are transported efficiently and effectively within and between the two factory sites. You will also be required to report to the Foundry/Despatch Assistant Team Manager.Responsibilities include:

  • To transport materials, parts, components or consumables within and between Factory 1 and Factory 2, using a Fork Lift Truck.
  • To ensure that all elements of production receive timely deliveries of materials.
  • Responsible for loading lorries with parts/components for despatch as appropriate.
  • To move / relocate die casts and / or press tools according to instructions from the Foundry Assistant Team Manager.
  • To follow the appropriate health and safety procedures.
    • The CandidateIf you are looking to apply for this position, you must:
  • Minimum of 12 months experience within the metal casting industry preferred.
  • Essential knowledge of all parts/components, and associated numbers, produced by the Foundry (training will be given).
  • Fork Lift Truck drivers license is regarded as essential (or willing to take a test).
  • Health and safety regulations/standards training.
  • Be a flexible individual to adapt, respond to or innovate working practices, changing style or priorities to meet varying demands.
  • Be able to plan own workload in line with production schedules.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
