Job Description

Our established client based in Kettering has a vacancy for a Footwear Technician to work in their Footwear Testing departmentKey responsibilities include

  • Operating standard laboratory equipment in line with Health and Safety assessments and test methods to conduct routine physical testing.
  • To take responsibility for certain aspects of the Laboratory and stores maintenance and upkeep
  • Continuous improvement
Candidates must have GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (NVQ L3) and be familiar with MS Word and Excel. The successful candidate will be expected to work to deadlines, to produce accurate, detailed results and to be able to workindependently and as partof the laboratory team.You must be computer literate and be able to demonstrate good organisation, time management and planning skills. A high level of written and oral communication is essential as is meticulous attention to detail. Previous test laboratory experiencewould be anadvantage, as would knowledge of footwear construction and materials, however full training will be given.Flexibility, tenacity and a ‘can-do attitude’ are key requisites of the role.Closing date for receipt of applications is 26th July 2023 If this sounds like the role for you or you would like to know more then please call Sophie on
