Job Description

Our clienta highly successful multinational manufacturing organisation based in Ketteringis seeking a driven part-qualified accountant to become their Finance Business Partner on a full-time permanent basis. This role has come about due to an internalpromotion, and our client will wait for suitable candidates who are on notice. The successful candidate will partner with their Engineering team to provide high-level support, challenging the engineering function on delivering the wider company goals and performance.Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing insight and challenge into the periodic performance of Engineering spend vs budget / forecast,
  • Supporting key business partners in the management of their budgets,
  • Development of financial tools to aide decision making / provide insight,
  • Quarterly forecasting & annual budget preparation,
  • Fixed asset / capital ledger posting & reporting,
  • Tracking & reporting of improvement plans, cost saving initiatives & capital opportunities,
  • Supporting & challenging cross-functional work teams (i.e. tenders, restructures etc).
The Right Person
  • A part-qualified accountant, ideally a degree graduate / part-qualified ACCA or CIMA,
  • Experience working within a large manufacturing / FMCG environment preferred,
  • The ability to balance conflicting demands, work to tight deadlines and have the tenacity to get to the root of the issues / help provide sustainable solutions,
  • Excellent analytical & reporting skills,
  • Effective communication skills, strong relationship building & ability to manage stakeholders at all levels,
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a larger organisation,
  • Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills.
  • Systems: Strong MS Excel skills, ERP, AX and/or Navision experience.
Package
  • Appointment Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (subject to experience)
