Job Description

Our client based in Kettering is looking for an Estimator to join their existing team. Key Role of an Estimator:As an Estimator you are required to provide accurate quotations prepared from Architects drawings,Specifications, bill pages and schedules. Ensuring that you provide a quick, professional serviceto potential clients and internal customers. Writing remote specifications that convert intoenquiries through discussing our clients range with key decision makers such as Architects, Main Contractors, Quantity Surveyors, End Users (single & multi-sites) and Sub-Contractors.Duties of an Estimator:
  • Produce accurate quotations from Architects drawings, Specifications, Bills of Quantities and Schedules within strict time frames.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to clarify project requirements as necessary.
  • Write remote specifications that convert into specified enquiries.
  • Ensure your department and individual targets relating to quotation accuracy, quantity and contract support are achieved.
  • Offer technical advice and information to our clients customers as required.
  • Registering all new enquiries that come into the business. Pace of work is fast to ensure customer deadlines are met. It will be necessary to carry out other tasks, in addition to the above, to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Attributes of an Estimator:
  • Work to a fast pace with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to absorb technical product information.
  • Methodical & structured approach to tasks.
  • Strong administrative, planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to interact at all levels & work under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
This is a 12 Month contract role with a huge potential to be a Permanent role due to Company growth.Hours are Mon to Fri 8.30am till 5pm or 9am till 5.30pm.
