The System Support Analyst is responsible for the provision of software support for the companys core applications, especially the ERP system (SyscomERP)Client DetailsA manufacturer company, who specialises in their chosen field.DescriptionApplication issues are reported to IT via a Service Desk system and the job holder is responsible for analysing the root cause, replicating it and efficiently managing the issue through to resolution. The role also includes testing of any software changesand providing training for the users of the core application and the development of system reports.Must Haves:- Previous experience in providing application support for a core business system (ERP etc)- Experience of system testing following software changes (both bug fixes and developments)- Experience of training system users- Proven analytical problem solving abilities to enable the job holder to understand and replicate the root cause of some of the support calls- Self-motivated / self-starter who is organised and able to work on own initiative but also as part of a successful Systems Support Team. The ability to accurately prioritise work is essential- Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential as this role will involve liaising closely with system users.ProfileWould Likes:- Previous experience in extracting and analysing data from a core application using ODBC as part of the fault resolution service.- SQL skills would be an advantage- Knowledge and experience in developing system reports to meet business needs - particularly SSRS- Excellent Excel skills with experience in using Microsofts development tools to write, deploy and support macros, etc.- Previous experience in working with either SyscomERP, Systex, Prima solutions, JD Edwards, SAP, AX or equivalent ERP system- EDI support experience / knowledge would be an advantage- ECOMMS experienceJob OfferA salary of £35,000 company benefits and hybrid working
