Job Description

Vinyl Print OperatorDo you have experience working in the print industryAre you looking for a permanent role with future progression opportunitiesCan you work effectively in a fast paced companySearch are proud to be working with a market leading company on the recruitment of a Vinyl Print Operator to join their manufacturing and projects site based in Kettering. This role is a permanent opportunity on a Monday to Friday day shift.Your primary purpose of the role is to prepare substrates for the application of vinyl and prints.Responsibilities

  • Prepare substrates for the application of vinyl and prints.
  • Apply vinyl to various substrates.
  • Print finishing, trimming, mounting and lamination of large-format material.
  • Obtain raw materials such as sheets and rolls for each vinyl sign making project
  • Production of graphics - printing, plot, weed & back.
  • Have an excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow specific client briefs.
  • Day to day cleaning and maintenance of work area.
  • Troubleshooting issues with the printing press or print quality
  • Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental Policies relating to your work area are adhered to by you at all times
  • Carry out basic maintenance in accordance with standard procedures.
Experience
  • Have a strong track record of working well with others,
  • Be able to demonstrate an excellent level of team-working, and
  • Be able to quickly fit-into and contribute to a well- established team.
  • Ideally have experience of working in signage manufacture in a vinyl application capacity however candidates with transferable experience gained in a similar environment such as working with graphics, or in light manufacturing, will also be considered.
  • Candidates showing aptitude will, in time, be trained on additional processes within the Digi / Vinyl area such as printing, laminating etc.
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail
  • Numerate and literate
  • Good communication skills.
