Job Description

Commercial AnalystKettering / HybridPermanentMonday - Friday - 37.5 hoursSalary: £25,000 - £30,000Are you an Excel Wizz with a love for data and systemsDo you have strong analytical and reporting skills with experience of commercial analysisIf so, this could be the right role for you.Due to expansion and business growth, our client is looking for a Commercial Analyst to join their team, this is an exciting and varied role where each day is different. This role will be responsible for supporting in the building, analysis, and reportingof key commercial information to help drive company strategy and enable peers to make educated decisions based on data.Roles and Responsibilities for the Commercial Analyst include:

  • Maintain the reporting around stock levels and stock requirements
  • Manage incoming customer stock forecasts
  • Report on forecast vs actuals, working with the sales teams to optimise their forecasting
  • To track customer and supplier rebates, working with sales/ procurement to ensure correct accruals are made and correct data is reported on
  • Manage system price changes and ensure price data integrity
  • Track Procurement savings, working with the function to ensure the numbers are correctly captured.
  • Helping with general commercial analysis and ensuring compliance around commercial documents
  • Build monthly management information packs for the sales team
  • Identify products, ranges and areas, working with procurement and sales to deliver additional commercial benefits through range planning
  • Track and provide data around commodity pricing and inflation
  • Support in analysis of and bringing in overdue debt and in clearing aged stock.
To be successful in the role of the Commercial Analyst you must have:
  • Advanced Excel skills - must be proficient with VLOOKUPS and Pivot tables
  • Great accuracy, attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines
  • A positive attitude and great time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • A love of systems with a logical, enquiring mind
