Our client, a reputable manufacturing company based in Kettering, is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Miller/Turner to join their team. As a CNC Miller/Turner, you will play a vital role in the production process by operating and maintaining computernumerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate precision components.Responsibilities:- Set up and operate CNC milling/turning machines according to technical specifications and engineering drawings.- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machining requirements.- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments for each job.- Load raw materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment.- Monitor the machine operation to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tool offsets to ensure optimal performance.- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent machine malfunctions and downtime.- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.Requirements:- Proven experience as a CNC Miller/Turner or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.- Proficiency in operating CNC milling and turning machines, including setup, programming, and troubleshooting.- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), and machining processes.- Familiarity with various materials, such as metals and plastics, and their machining characteristics.- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.- Skilled in interpreting technical specifications and following work instructions accurately.
