Job Description

Our clienta highly successful multinational manufacturer based in Ketteringis seeking a qualified accountant to provide high level finance support, and challenge the engineering / capital functions of the business to delivery wider company goals ona full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your key responsibilities would include:

  • Business partner to Head of Engineering (Engineering cost centres & Operations Capital) & Head of IT (IT Capital),
  • Provision of high-quality reporting and insightful analysis to ensure decision makers are equipped to make optimal decisions,
  • Ownership of all financial aspects of Utilities & Carbon credits,
  • Proactive challenge of stakeholders to ensure financial delivery across cost centres,
  • Delivery of accurate budgets and forecasts, highlighting risks & opportunities and working with stakeholders to mitigate financial risk and exploit opportunities,
  • Accounting & challenge of capital spend in line with fixed asset policies,
  • Maintaining levels of compliance across the team, e.g. SOX, BS Recs, internal policies etc,
  • Management and development of two direct reports (FBP for Engineering & Assistant Accountant for Capital transactions).
The Right Person
  • Degree-education, qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent,
  • Previous finance manager experience working within FMCG, retail or manufacturing,
  • Experience of working & communicating with high level stakeholders, specifically those without finance backgrounds,
  • Ability to appropriately prioritise tasks to deliver,
  • Ability to deliver through others & manage their performance,
  • Driven, eager & willing to challenge processes to drive improve,
  • Strong MS Excel and analytical skills. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX2012R3 or similar ERP systems preferred.
Package
  • Appointment Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (subject to experience)
  • £5k Car Allowance
