Job Description

We are recruiting a Bookkeeper/ Administrator to help drive the business forward of a highly respected and well-established builders merchants.Ideally for this Bookkeeper/ Administrator role we need someone who has experience working with Kerridge or SAGE. It would be an added bonus to find the right Bookkeeper / Administrator with bookkeeping experience within a builders merchants environmentbut more than anything it is about finding someone with the right attitude as such our client needs an experienced bookkeeper who is versatile or adaptable.The right individual will be responsible for maintaining financial records including nominal ledger and all bank transactions.

  • Recording financial transactions
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable
  • Paying regular bills for the company
  • Maintaining company ledgers
  • Handling supplier invoices by recording and approving or denying the payments
  • Maintaining office supplies by keeping an inventory and ordering new supplies as needed
  • Preparing purchase orders in accordance with requests for materials
  • Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits
  • Maintaining petty cash
  • Preparing information for auditors
  • Providing administrative and clerical support as needed
  • Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management
  • Preparing and reconciling bank accounts.
