Job Description

Do you have Big Build Vehicle Electrician experience, and are you seeking a new job in Kettering Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a vehicle-mounted platform manufacturer find a full-time Big Build Vehicle Electrician, and the role comes with an attractivesalary and benefits package.As a Big Build Vehicle Electrician, you will proactively enable our customers to work safely and maximise their productivity.To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

  • Support in the delivery of the build program for Big Build by applying best mechanical and electrical practises through the conversion of Big Build i.e 7 to 16.5T vehicles such as the Unimog U530
  • Installation and fault finding on an array of AC and DC electrical and electronic systems in line with Engineering design intent
  • Apply best practise and electrical engineering assurance to installations
  • Ensure the correct cabling termination methods are applied
To apply, you will need to be experienced in the use of power tools such as jigs, grinders, river guns, etc. You will also require the following:
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • A good electrical engineering background with proven experience in interconnection and termination methodologies i.e Crimping, splicing etc.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and high attention to detail
