Job Description

Junior Underwriter (Bridging / Development Finance)Our client is one of the fastest growing lenders in the Property Finance market, specialising with Bridging and Development Finance loans.This is an amazing opportunity for an individual to build their career within Underwriting. You shall play a key role in ensuring the businesses growth with effective risk management, underwriting applications, and ensuring the smoothest drawdown. As a memberof the Underwriting team, you will be trained to operate within agreed underwriting authority and will take personal ownership of handling cases. You will work as part of a team delivery high quality service to intermediaries.You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with valuers, solicitors, and intermediaries as appropriate
  • Ensuring all client files are always complete and up to date
  • Ensuring that all business complies with the companys lending criteria
  • Reporting any concerns over underwriting issues to the Senior Underwriter
  • Coordinating the submission and return of application documentation to brokers
  • Completing all reasonable comparable research on properties
  • Carrying out administrative duties as required
Minimum requirements:
  • Some Financial Services experience is essential
  • Analytical and methodical thinking
  • Decision making skills
  • Desire and hunger to learn and progress
  • Some previous experience in a lending environment
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Go the extra mile to get the job done
  • Self-motivated to deliver high quality service
