Job Description

Assistant Security AdministratorCloud Transformation ConsultancyHybrid (1-2 day a week in office)Kent£23-25,500The Atlas Recruitment Group are currently searching for an IT Professional who wants to start their career in IT Security, working for a market leading and growing Cloud Transformation Consultancy in Kent.The organisation help customers across the Public and Private sectors of the UK on their journey into the cloud, offering them the full capability of Microsofts M365 and Azure offerings.You will be joining an established Security centre of Excellence and will be surrounded by Security professionals with skillsets in Support, up to Architecture and Leadership positions so you will have a lot of room to grow and develop yourself within theorganisation.Key Responsibilities: -

  • Investigates and reconciles violation reports and logs generated by automated policing mechanisms in accordance with established procedures and security standards.
  • Investigates any other identified security breaches in accordance with established procedures and compiles reports and recommendations for management follow-up.
  • Assists users in defining their needs for new access rights and privileges. Operates and administers logical access controls and directly associated security services relating to all platforms used in order to provide continuous and secure access to informationservices.
  • Ensures that small scale system changes required to maintain security are implemented.
  • Provides basic advice and handles enquiries relating to other security, contingency planning and related activities.
  • Uses network management systems software and appropriate analysis equipment to collect routine network load statistics, model performance, and create reports as required.
  • Using standard procedures and tools, carries out defined backup of data, together with any required restoring of such data.
  • Adheres to a selection of standard procedures and tools, and carries out defined tasks associated with the planning, installation, and upgrade, operation, control and maintenance to security systems.
Experience Required: -
  • Basic knowledge of the following: Remote Access Solutions such as Microsoft Universal Access Gateway, IP-SEC VPNs, Firewall products, Network Security Design principles, email and internet filtering solutions such as Cisco IronPort
  • Basic knowledge of Anti-Virus solutions
