Have you had previous Project Management ExperienceDo you enjoy working with ChildrenIf so, Im currently looking for a Youth Engagement & Community Manager for a well known Sports Charity based in Kennington SE11.SPECIFICATION;• Project Management of a two-year funded targeted intervention programme by the Greater London Authority (GLA) focusing on personal development of young people at risk of serious youth violence• Develop and initiate an outreach strategy for BPT and its partners• Implement the project work plan working with YOT, Pupil referral units, police and other statutory organisations to ensure the right young people are targeted.• Build on existing partnerships with statutory organisations to cement referral pathways into existing youth based diversionary programmes• Lead onsite and offsite based engagement programmes that focus on diversionary physical activity and personal development projects• Build positive and sustainable relationships with young people on programmes through supporting the delivery workshops and sporting sessions• Broker volunteering placements for project participants with existing BPT partners and the wider voluntary sector organisations• Manage quarterly Youth Panel meetings to provide a voice of the users of The Hub to shape BPT programs and give young people a voice in the direction of the CharityREQUIRED SKILLSRequired Skills:• Pro-active self-starter with a minimum of two years’ experience in community/sports development in a youth work setting• Can operate under minimum day to day supervision with limited levels of support.• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships with our partner organisations and young people respectively• Experience of successful project management within a youth/community setting including budget control and reconciliation, monitor and evaluation reporting and relationship management• Positive track record of working with “at risk” young people progressing them towards positive outcomes into employment, education or training Experience of the youth criminal justice system and probation services within Lambeth and Southwark• Competent on reaching out via social media on behalf of the organisation.
