We have grown from 2 sites in 1999 to over 70 today in Europe and North America. You will need to have worked in a tax focused role in a large or medium, fast paced organisation, industry sector is not important , though being used to fastpace and constant change is!About the RoleYou will report to the Financial Accounting Controller, you will also work closely with Group Tax based in our Group HQ in Rotterdam, Netherlands. You will have onedirect report and your key internal stakeholders are mainly within finance and the RefrescoUK senior leadership team.You are, or have been, a Tax Manager in a medium to large organisation, so you probably know what is involved, but to be transparent, here are some of your key tasks and responsibilities as Tax Manager at Refresco:

  • Manage monthly tax process together with the Financial Accounting Controller and liaison with the Group Tax Manager.
  • Lead the quarterly group tax reporting and review with the corporate tax team.
  • Lead the annual local corporation tax filing process for the UK group of companies.
  • Lead the annual research and development claim process.
  • Ensure a robust tax risk review register is in place and recommend improvements where needed.
  • Review company tax position and make recommendations to the Finance and IT Director and the corporate tax team.
  • Brief the Finance Director and wider business on changes to tax legislation leading the implementation and change process.
  • Support of the audit of the tax affairs of the company.
  • Manage the company pension schemes and all associated accounting.

  • To be ACCA, ACA, CIMA fully qualified;
  • Experience in a similar tax focused role in a fast paced large or medium sized organisation;
  • Experience of strategic dealings with the HMRC;
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge;
  • Up to date knowledge of recent legislation and accounting standards;
  • Preferably, you will have good knowledge of company pension schemes and their administration, accounting and management.
