Job Description

Tax Accountant - £50,000 to £60,000 – East MidlandsAre you a commercially minded Tax Accountant Blusource Recruitment is helping a growing East Midlands-based business with a global reach to find their next Tax Accountant who will ensure accurate reporting of all corporation tax returns and monthly reporting for tax compliance.Join this fast-growing company within an easy commute from Nottingham, Derby and Leicester on a hybrid basis to develop your hands-on experience and personal development opportunities.What will you be doing

  • Reviewing and filing VAT returns for different divisions and locations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for all tax returns.
  • Support import/export compliance.
  • Prepare and submit R&D claims with external tax advisors support.
  • Handle taxation aspects relating to UK Import/Export post-Brexit.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports for their holding company.
  • Manage monthly tax accounting in collaboration with the Financial Controller.
  • Ensure insurance information is maintained and process claims.
  • Provide support on tax projects and act as a deputy for the tax manager.
What are we looking for
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
  • Strong experience in VAT and/or Duty tax returns.
  • That you can thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Sound knowledge of tax laws and strategic dealings with HMRC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
