Were looking for a qualified and commercially minded Tax Accountant to work for our client, the worlds largest independent soft drinks manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for a qualified tax accountant to gain hands on experience within a large fast-paced, multinational company. If you have a strong understanding of VAT and/or Duty tax returns and experience of strategic dealings with HMRC then wedlove to hear from you.Please note: This is a full-time permanent role based at the companys Kegworth Head Office, easily accessible from Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby, and surrounding areas. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8.30 - 5.00, Fridays8.30 - 4.00 with the option of working remotely two days a week and free onsite parking. Offering an attractive salary dependent on experience, plus benefits package including annual bonus incentive, company pension scheme 3x basic salary, life assurance, plus much more. ---The RoleReporting into the Tax Manager, you would ensure the correct accounting and controls are followed and fit for purpose, for corporate and indirect tax across the business. You will receive support from external tax specialists and engage with and communicateto the business when changes to relevant legislation or complex matters arise. Responsibilities will include- Reviewing and timely filing of UK & Ireland VAT returns, NL VAT returns, Plastic Packaging VAT returns, Alcohol duty return and Soft Drinks industry levy return- Supporting compliance and optimisation of import / export processes and associated duties- R&D claim preparation and submission with support of external tax advisors- Responsibility for the taxation elements of the Import / Export process post-Brexit- Managing monthly tax accounting with the Financial Accounting Controller and in liaison with the Group Tax Manager--- The CandidateThe ideal candidate for the Tax Accountant role will be a commercially minded Tax Accountant, although QBE will be considered.
