Job Description

KS1 Supply Teaching Assistant - South ShieldsWith over 50 years of combined experience in the education market, the Education Network has a long harboured reputation of education recruitment in the North East that puts its candidates first and has a first class track record of placing teachers in short-term,long-term and permanent roles. In addition to our services, we offer additional training and development opportunities for ourcandidates as well as receiving personalised career support from our team at the Education Network.With the fantastic reputation and relationships we have built over the years with our partnership schools in the North East, the Education Network are currently seeking to recruit qualified Teaching Assistants to support a number of schools in KS1 around theSouth Tyneside area on a supply basis.Due to the recent growth and unprecedented number of requirements for supply staff across our schools and academies across the North East, we are looking for candidates that would be free to cover on a short and long term basis in the South Tyneside area withwork available 1-5 days per week or when required by schools.We are looking for individuals who are warm, approachable and can work under their own initiative to create an welcoming environment. An ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:

  • You must be willing to complete registration with ourselves so that you are clear to work in primary schools from a compliance perspective.
  • Qualified to at least a Level 2 in a relevant education support and leaning.
  • Be flexible with working patterns
  • Have zero criminal convictions and if not in possession already be willing to apply for a DBS (Disclosure and Barring service) Certificate.
  • Have recent experience of working in a classroom environment in the past 2-3 years (voluntary is acceptable).
  • Have enthusiasm for learning and supporting teachers and pupils in school.
  • Be able to provide references to cover you for your last 2 years of employment (at least one being relevant to childcare/education).
