Job Description

Job Role: Teacher of English Location: Ealing Start Date: After February half term – Maternity cover – Full time Salary: £130 – £190 I am currently working with a Secondary School on an exciting new role in the Ealing area.Starting the first week after February half term, the school is looking for an experienced English Teacher with QTS to join them on a long term basis.The School:• Received “Outstanding” Ofsted rating for the behaviour and safety of pupils, the quality of teaching, the leadership and management.• Mixed, 11-18, co-educational academy based in Ealing, West London• Magnificent buildings and an attractive and harmonious working environment• It was awarded Beacon status in 2000 and won the School Achievement Award for Excellence three years in a row• The school thrives on teamwork and high achievement for all students• Situated close to bus and transport links including Hanwell stationThe Role:• You will be teaching English to KS4 and KS5• Ensure students reach their full potential and monitor their progression by implementing strategies to raise standards of student attainment• Deliver a balanced and relevant curriculum for students and support a designated curriculum area or areas, as appropriate• Facilitate and encourage learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potentialWhat you will need:• You will need to be a qualified teacher with UK QTS or UK NARIC• You can be either an experienced teacher or an NQT• Strong knowledge of the subject curriculum, the national secondary education system and examinations• Be positive role model for students and staff• You will be enthusiastic about your subject, committed, motivated and with a can-do attitudeBenefits of working with Reed Education:When you work with Reed Education, you will have access to a range of expertise and advice as well as benefits.
