Job Description

IBP have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the team at a prestigious school-based location in Isleworth, as the Onsite IT Technician. The role will also include several day visits each month to a second school based in Feltham.Main Duties:

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality ICT services
  • Maintain accurate and up to date documentation and polices for all IT Services as required.
  • Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of all desk-side services and solutions as required.
  • Primary onsite technician on behalf of MSP for desk-side related issues
  • Use of MSP online service desk to acknowledge/manage and action issues
  • Support staff onsite in the use of all IT Services.
  • Support pupils and all members of the school community in their use of ICT.
  • Monitor and maintain all IT Services alongside MSP including maintenance schedules and safety checks as required.
  • Providing support in the use of new or upgraded hardware/software
  • Support in managing and maintaining remote access services ensuring connectivity
  • Support existing Wireless services.
  • Workstation management - hardware, software, peripherals, and input/output devices.
  • Internet, firewall and filtering systems.
  • Support the Safe use Internet Policy in line with school policy.
  • Work alongside MSP on projects outside of term-time duties.
  • Help to plan and manage an appropriate maintenance procedure for ICT equipment.
  • Manage and maintain the IT inventory along with asset tagging
  • Ensure consumable stock does not run below the minimum requirements.
  • Ensure all IT Services are kept in good working order.
  • Work to implement and embed business processes for ICT support using a set methodology.
  • Ensure all ICT equipment is kept secure and safe.
  • Monitor and maintain assessment and reporting systems and procedures
  • Ensure regular security checks of systems and processes.
  • Maintain up to date inventories of hardware & software; security marking and labelling of equipment.
  • Attend annual training for all staff, recognising that safeguarding children is everyones responsibility.
Experience & Skills:
  • Work closely and effectively with all key stakeholders, demonstrating intuition and accountability.
  • Identify own role in achieving objectives.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and image at all times.
  • Must demonstrate intuition and initiative with resilience to complete the task in hand.
  • Communicate effectivelyAll mediums.
  • Dress appropriately in relation to school norms.
  • Promote the positive ethos of the school.
  • Appropriate ICT qualification with MS SharePoint & MS Teams experience preferred.
  • Experience with Interactive screens/whiteboards required (Clevertouch desirable).
  • Experience with Cunninghams or other cashless till systems desirable
  • Attend annual training for all staff, recognising that safeguarding children is everyones responsibility.
  • Undertake any reasonable duty deemed necessary by the line manager.
  • Be flexible with working hours to suit the needs of the school for example on Open Days, at out of normal hours meetings and support.
  • Be flexible with place of work when required.
  • Ensure IT offices are kept tidy and organised
  • A DBS check will be required.
