Job Description

Summary Were looking for a Lead Ranger to join our team here at Osterley Park.This pivotal role forms a key part of our property leadership team, and essential in helping us to ensure that this urban greenspace delivers more for nature and for people.This is a hugely rewarding role for someone who is passionate about working on the frontline for the benefit of nature, history and for people. Come rain or shine, with a culture of exceptional service, youll deliver an outstanding visitor experience, andwith the protection and enhancement of conservation at the forefront of each project.Salary: £34,340. The advertised salary is inclusive of the Outer London Weighting Allowance, currently £2,828 per annum. What its like to work here Reporting directly to the General Manager, youll be part of the Property Leadership Team, managing two urban rangers as well as champion Osterley as an accessible nature space for everyone.About half your time will office-based working on planning, compliance and budget management. The other half will be out on the estate managing the land for the benefit of nature, the environment and our many visitors.Weekend work is expected on a rota basis.   • An experienced people manager with the ability to lead a team to deliver effectively
  • An excellent communicator with experience in stakeholder management
  • Experienced in project management
  • Experienced in relevant land, conservation and access management
  • Customer aware and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service
  • Organised and self-motivated, confidently able to manage a demanding workload with competing demands on your time
  • Confident managing budgets, finances and contracts
  • Knowledgeable in health and safety requirements and other compliance issues relating to the countryside and visitor activities.
