Job Description Walter Everett are a recruitment company and we are currently helping our client to recruit an infrastructure engineer to work within this companies engineering team.Responsibilities- Implementation and operation of AWS based infrastructure, defined as Terraform code.- Working with application developers in the design and deployment of new systems.- Management and monitoring of existing applications.- Some on-call will be a part of the job (in the region of one day per week).Are you:- An engineer, with a deep knowledge of AWS based cloud infrastructure.- An excellent communicator who knows how to operate effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams.- Solution-focused, able to keep the overall goal in mind, and understanding the meaning of done means done.- Ready to guide and support other team members when needed and knowing when to reach out for assistance when things arent going your way.Experience::- Proven track record of delivering commercial infrastructure projects- In depth knowledge of AWS services.- Experience with configuration management systems and deployment tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.- Experience with Distributed Systems: Scaling, Fault-Tolerance, Load-Balancing, Networking, Security, etc.- Experience with continuous delivery systems such as Codeship, Jenkins, etc.- Experience with Linux and Docker- Critical thinker and problem-solving skillsWhile the following abilities would be useful, although not essential:- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent- Experience with monitoring solutions such as New Relic, Honeycomb, etc.- Experience with relational databases- Experience working with cross functional development teams
