Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a positive impact on their learning journey We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school inIsleworth. This role involves providing tailored support to a Year 3 student with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.About Us: Our school is committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive. We believe in the potential of each student, and our team of dedicated educators work together to provide a supportive and enrichingeducational experience.Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a Year 3 student diagnosed with ASD on a one-to-one basis, providing personalised support and assistance throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and the schools SEN Coordinator to implement strategies and accommodations that meet the students individual learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for the student, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life.
  • Assist the student in engaging with class activities and ensure they have access to the curriculum at their developmental level.
  • Help the student develop social and communication skills, providing guidance and encouragement during interactions with peers and teachers.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD, is desirable.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build a strong rapport with the student to create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a passion for supporting students personal and academic growth.
To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
  • Hold previous experience working within SEN
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
