The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) require a band 6 nurse to join the multidisciplinary team.Applications are invited from nurses who can demonstrate a strong interest in CAMHS and who have experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties, including effective networking and experience of multi-agency working, and experience of delivering evidence-based interventions. You will be expected to work autonomously and respond to the needs of the locality but also as part of an established team.The team provides assessment and interventions to children aged up to 18 years old, with moderate to severe complex mental health problems, and their families. The post holder would also be involved in providing assessment, interventions, consultation and support to a wide range of professionals, and developing working relationships with a wide range of professions to improve service delivery.The successful candidate must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.Candidates must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, innovative and responsible for ensuring their ongoing professional development as well as being committed to active involvement in implementing service developments.Prior experience of assessment, management and review of young people with mental health difficulties is an advantage.
