If you have drive and talent and enjoy responsibility, well give you the support you need to explore your potential and forward your career.Read more at www.dsv.comJob description:JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARYThe Warehouse Tug Drivers role is to facilitate and ensure that all inbound and outbound trailers are safely located in the yard and driven to the loading bays for loading, unloading, ensuring that the brakes are on, trestles and chocks are used and executeall other tasks relating to warehouse tug operation in accordance with operational and health and safety proceduresMust be able to follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical and safe driving manner and follow onsite speed limitsPURPOSE OF THE ROLEReporting to the Supervisor, the warehouse tug driver has overall accountability for tug operations which include, locating trailers, driving, reversing onto loading bays, using trestles and chocks, opening and closing doors and securing load seals, operatingManual Handling Equipment as required and minimizing any losses and damages during these processes.Complete all tasks with a high degree of accuracy to ensure and maintain organisation standards. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, health and environment procedures. Maintain a safe working environment within the Warehouse and Yard reporting any incidentsor accidents immediately to the relevant managerDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
