Turnaround ManagerImmington, North Lincolnshire£Excellent salary plus benefitsFull Time, PermanentOur client is a top tier CoMAH site employing a total of 400 staff working alongside a team of term contractors. The refinery processes 109,000 barrels of oil per day, supplying products to the UK and Northern Europe.Our client is looking for an experienced and qualified Turnaround Manager to join the Refinery’s Leadership Team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of instilling the highest HSE standards in conjunction with the technical excellence required to underpin exceptional plant availability. Their results will be based on their ability to build and lead a committed and close-knit team that motivates both permanent employees and temporary staff.A good understanding of what it takes to deliver a successful turnaround event in the UK will have been built from extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, achieving results by selecting and collaborating rigorously with the best contracting companies from across the UK and wider European market.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the preparation process from the very earliest stages of strategy definition. They will work with a wide range of stakeholders inside the refinery and beyond to define objectives and targets for the event in addition to developing and optimising work scopes. The small team that is currently in place will need to be expanded progressively to take on the process of detailed technical planning and scheduling as well as commercial and logistical preparation.The person appointed will be closely involved in building effective plans to ensure critical objectives around health, safety, environment, plant reliability, schedule and budget adherence are met. Their experience will allow them to lead oractively participate in the wide range of review processes required: work scope challenge; constructability reviews; HSE plan preparation; logistics arrangements etc.Successful candidates will hold an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification supported by wider professional development during their career to date. They should be capable of fulfilling the wider leadership and role model responsibilities expected of a member of the Site Leadership Team. In addition to being self-motivated, their communication skills should enable them to share the benefit of strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities when working with all levels of the organisation.
