Job Description

Our Secondary School client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to work for their thriving secondary school in Grimsby, NE Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will join their team on a full-time temporary basiswith the opportunity to turn permanent.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 students with varying abilities and will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.Position Details:

  • Role: Design Technology Teacher
  • Employment Type: Full-time/Long Term (Can turn to Perm)
  • Start Date: Jan 2024
  • Location: Grimsby DN41
  • Pay scale: £150-200 per day.
Commutable Areas: Immingham, Grimsby, Brigg and Barton upon Humber.Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in design technology, incorporating both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Teach students various aspects of design technology, such as product design, graphics, textiles, or resistant materials, depending on your expertise.
  • Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that encourages students to explore their creativity, develop problem-solving skills, and apply technological knowledge.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to engage and inspire students in their learning journey.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A recognized teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS on the update service (although this can be obtained via Reed)
