Job Description

As Europes largest manufacturer of waste-based biodiesel, renewables are core to Greenergys strategy to drive transport decarbonisationthrough continued leadership in renewables.An established supplier and distributor of transportation fuels, Greenergy operates strategic infrastructure in key demand locations, offering customers unmatched supply resilience across the UK, Ireland, Canada, Brazil and through a joint venture in BahrainThe RoleWorking on shift, the Operations Technician is responsible to the STL for the safe and environmentally compliant operation and maintenance of Immingham Biodiesel plant. this is achieved through monitoring, recording, inspecting, and controlling plant parametersand providing appropriate first line maintenance.Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Using procedures to provide start up and shutdown services in respect of plant systems and participate in emergency shutdown of the plant, if required.
  • Carrying out process analysis, interpreting general plant and SCADA control system information. To ensure that associated logs and documents are updated.
  • Working within operational targets and requirements, accurately monitoring the operation of the plant. As required, adjusting maximise plant efficiency, minimise cost, meet environmental compliance and ensure product specification.
  • As required, to input faults in the maintenance management system, provide proactive first line maintenance.
  • To produce and review accurate, appropriate method statements, risk assessments & other required safety documentation, to prepare work packs.
  • To take responsibility for developing & improving procedures & policies covering site operational activities.
  • To provide relevant, best practice operational advice and guidance to both other shift members and cross-functional colleagues.
  • To positively present the role of Operator Technician and the Operations Department to the rest of the Greenergy Biodiesel Immingham, the Greenergy business, contractors and customers.
