Job Description

Knauf UK & Ireland are a market-leading manufacturer of lightweight building materials for the construction industry. We are part of the Knauf Group, the world’s largest producer of gypsum-based products for the construction industry.With two manufacturing plants in the UK and a state of the art Showroom based in the heart of the A&D Community in Clerkenwell, London - we are well equipped to Build for the World We Live In.We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join our Engineering team at Immingham. The role will see the post holder join the business on a Fixed Term Contract up until the end of April 2022.Job PurposeA commitment to preserving the good condition of site infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. You will be required to work closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to implement effective and efficient maintenance and development of site facilities while efficiently utilizing maintenance resources.Ensure that Engineering Statutory topics under your responsibility are compliant with the latest regulations.Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • You are required to follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Planning and implementation of planned preventative and reactive maintenance for your function. To include (but not limited to); all site services from the point of supply to the point of distribution, site security and access systems, buildings and grounds maintenance
  • Temporary access equipment, pressure systems and lifting equipment
  • Creation and maintenance of site Waste Management Plan.
  • Management of the fleet of site owned and hired vehicles.
  • Engineering Compliance Topic Budget setting. (Noise, Dust, Emergency Lighting, Legionella, PSSR, LEV, Racking, LOLER, Fire Alarm Sytems and any other engineering compliance topic which is stipulated by the site engineering maintenance manager).
  • Adherence to budget for selected aspects of the Ordinary Repairs and Maintenance and selected Special Repair and capital budgets (as specified by your line manager).
  • Leadership, coaching and development of direct reports.
  • Provide a fast and efficient repair service for your functional responsibility which minimizes impact on other core processes.
  • Commitment to the utilization of the site’s Maintenance Management System.
  • Deputies for the Site maintenance Engineering Manager as required.
  • Prepare & present on behalf of the Immingham Maintenance Team at internal and external audits and own relevant Action Trackers.
  • Provide timely and accurate information in a variety of formats, Excel, reports, graphs etc.…
  • Ensure areas under functional responsibility have 24/7 site support.
  • Anything else commensurate to complete your role.
  • Requirements:
  • HNC or a BA/BSc in Facilities Management or Engineering highly desirable
  • In depth knowledge of Engineering Compliance Topics
  • Proven experience of using SAP PM Maintenance planning system.
  • Demonstrable experience of maintenance management processes.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH H&S qualification preferable.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced continuous manufacturing environment
  • Advance Excel and data analysis skills essential.
